CRISTIE LILES
HEAD COACH
Coach Liles is in her 13th year of
teaching and coaching. Her background began in Amarillo, TX where
she played volleyball for Amarillo High School. In 1988, the
Amarillo Sandies won the 5A State Championship. Coach Liles
attended Sam Houston State University on a full volleyball scholarship.
Coach Liles served was a graduate assistant for Sam Houston State
Volleyball. After graduating college Coach Liles returned to
Amarillo High were she coached volleyball and track for four years.
From 1999-2002, Coach Liles was the Head Volleyball Coach at Stony Point
High School in Round Rock, TX. In 2002, Coach Liles was hired to
be the Head Volleyball Coach at Marcus High School. The 2003-2004
season brought Coach Liles the honor of being named the District 7-5A
Coach of the Year and the Fort Worth Star Telegram Coach of the Year. In
2006 Coach Liles was named the District 6-5A Coach of the Year.
JENNIFER
BISHOP
JV COACH
A graduate of the
University of North Texas, Jennifer Bishop is starting her 8th year with
Marcus volleyball as the Varsity assistant and Junior Varsity coach.
She teaches biology and pre-AP biology, is also certified to teach
health and PE and is actively involved in other organizations at school.
Along with coaching volleyball at Marcus, Jennifer also coaches club and
still plays competitively as time allows. Besides volleyball, she
has also coached softball, track and soccer.
AMY
MILLER
FRESHMAN RED
Amy
Miller returns to the Marcus Volleyball program for her 3rd
season as the freshman red team coach. Prior to her tenure at Marcus
High School Coach Miller coached basketball, soccer, volleyball, and
track at Briarhill Middle School. She has also coached varsity soccer,
junior varsity softball and junior varsity field hockey at Hockaday.
Miller has been very active in the Lewisville community creating youth
organizations such as LGSA and local volleyball and soccer clubs. She
is also past director of coach and player development for GLASA. Coach
Miller is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University where she received a
Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and is certified to teach Special
Education as well as Physical Education. Amy is married to Tom Miller
and has 4 daughters, Taren, Kali, Britny and Jenna! All 4 of them have
graced the halls of MHS.
ROGER WHIPKEY
FRESHMAN SILVER

Roger comes to Marcus
with fifteen years of coaching experience. He graduated from
Oklahoma Panhandle State University in 1992 where he played basketball.
Roger has been the head girl's basketball, track and cross-country coach
at Sweetwater (OK), Silverton and New Deal. He most recently has
coached basketball, volleyball, and track at Frenship Jr. High near
Lubbock, TX. He will also be coaching freshman basketball for the
marauders and teaching World Geography. Roger is married to
Rebecca and they have a two year old daughter named Regan.
